FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do the QR codes generated on QR Snap expire?+

No. All QR codes generated here are static QR codes. This means the data is embedded directly into the pixel pattern itself. They will remain active forever, they have no expiration date, and there are absolutely no limits on how many times they can be scanned.

Can I use these QR codes for commercial purposes?+

Yes, 100%. You can freely use any QR code you generate for business cards, restaurant menus, product packaging, clothing, flyers, or digital marketing campaigns without paying any fees or attribution.

Why isn't my customized QR code scanning properly?+

If your phone camera or scanner app is struggling to read your code, it is usually due to one of these common design issues:

  • Low Contrast: Your chosen pattern color is too light or too close to the background color. For best results, always use a dark pattern on a light background.
  • Logo Obstruction: If you uploaded a center logo, it might be covering too much data. Try making the logo smaller.
  • Complex URL: Extremely long website links create denser, more cluttered patterns that are harder for older phone cameras to read.

Tip: Try using a URL shortener (like bit.ly) before pasting your link into the generator to keep the pattern clean and highly scannable.

Can I edit the link or text after I print the QR code?+

No. Because these are static QR codes, the data is permanently locked into the visual pattern the moment you generate it. If your website link changes in the future, you will need to generate, download, and print a brand-new QR code.

Which format should I download: PNG or SVG?+

It depends entirely on where you plan to display it:

  • PNG is best for digital use. It is perfect for website displays, emails, presentation slides, and social media.
  • SVG is a vector format best for physical printing. Because it is a vector, you can scale it up to the size of a massive billboard or down to a tiny business card without losing any quality or causing pixelation.
